Our Expert Review
ONYX Futures is built around one standout rule: EOD trailing drawdown only. Your max loss threshold updates once at market close — not intraday. A session that goes negative but recovers by close doesn’t move your drawdown floor at all. This is one of the most trader-friendly drawdown models available in the futures prop space. Account sizes run from $25K to $150K, with monthly fees from $99 to $269 and profit targets from $1,500 to $9,000. Minimum 3 trading days to pass — no time limit. Reset fee is $79 flat regardless of account size.

ONYX offers three account types: Sapphire/Diamond (standard evaluation + funded), Flex Funded (EOD drawdown, no consistency rule at the funded stage), and Direct (skip the evaluation entirely, funded immediately). All funded accounts pay 80% profit split with weekly payouts processed in 3–5 business days. Payout caps are $1,500/$2,000/$3,500/$4,500 for $25K/$50K/$100K/$150K accounts. Five winning days (days with $200+ profit) are required before the first payout, and the 40% consistency rule applies on Sapphire/Diamond funded accounts. No lifetime cap on earnings.
ONYX runs on Rithmic’s institutional infrastructure, supporting NinjaTrader, R|Trader Pro, and any Rithmic-compatible platform via TradeSea. Up to 10 simultaneous funded accounts — traders can stack capital significantly. No overnight or weekend holds are permitted on any account type. Automated trading and bots are prohibited. News trading requires exiting all positions 2 minutes before FOMC, NFP, CPI, PPI, and other tier-1 releases. For futures traders who want EOD-only drawdown, flexible account structure including a no-consistency-rule option, and a solid multi-account stacking strategy, ONYX Futures is worth a serious look.
